Install SymoLink from the Marketplace
Open the App Marketplace in your CRM, find SymoLink and click Install.
- AgencyInstall from your agency view to add all your client accounts at once, or one at a time.
- Single businessInstall it on your own account.
Click Allow on the next screen.
-
Finish setup on SymoLink
After Allow, you land on SymoLink.
- New to SymoLinkCreate your company account, one step per screen: agency or single business, your company name, the countries you text, the US and Canada texting rules if you serve them, your login (you agree to the Terms here), then your card. You pay $9.97 per seat in use per month. With no phones set up yet, nothing is charged.
- Installed from your company’s linkType your name, email and a password to create your login. The page works once, for 24 hours.
Each CRM account you installed on becomes a SymoLink client account.
-
Give the client account a seat
A new client account has no seats, so it can’t link a phone yet. In SymoLink open Client accounts → the account → Devices → Seats, give it an SMS Gateway seat for each phone (a Call Gateway seat for each SymoLink Box) and click Save.
Clients can also ask with Request Another Seat on their Devices page. You approve it under Seat Requests.
-
Make SymoLink the text provider
In your CRM, in each client account that will text: Settings → Phone Numbers → Advanced → SMS Provider, choose SymoLink SMS and save.
-
Put the app on the phone
Sign in to the SymoLink dashboard, open Downloads → Mobile App and scan the QR code with the Android phone that has your business SIM. The link works for one hour. Tap the downloaded file and install it. If Android asks, allow Install unknown apps for your browser.
If the app asks for the Mobile App Password, the company that set you up reads it out (in SymoLink: Agency → Mobile App Password). It changes every minute and works for one phone. It is not the 6-digit code.
Allow SMS and Phone, then let the app run in the background (in the app: Settings → This phone → Battery optimization). The app’s Setup check (Settings → Help → Setup check) lists anything still missing.
-
Link the phone
The app shows a 6-digit code. In the SymoLink dashboard open Devices → Add Device and type it. The phone shows Online, and each SIM shows Ready under Cellular Lines.
Only Request Another Seat on Devices? The account has no open seat yet: go back to step 3.
-
Send a test text
On Devices, open ⋯ → Send test SMS and text your own mobile. Then, in your CRM’s conversations, open a contact with your mobile number, send a text and reply from your mobile: the reply lands in the same conversation.
-
Calls optional
Calls need a SymoLink Box and a Call Gateway seat. Plug the box into a wall socket (the first start takes up to 5 minutes), then in the phone app tap Set up a gateway box, pick the box and your Wi-Fi.
Switch on Calls enabled in Settings → Locations. Answer and place calls from the dashboard’s Dialer, the call panel in your CRM, or the SymoLink Dialer Chrome extension.
Stuck?
Click Troubleshoot in SymoLink (on Messages; agencies: Troubleshooting). It checks your billing, the CRM connection, the phone and the line, sends a test, and tells you exactly what to fix.
Full phone guide: Help → Setup Guide in SymoLink, or the phone setup guide online.
